Youth Career Readiness Initiative
OAA is pleased to invite you to refer individuals for our “HEROES IN THE HOOD” Youth Career Readiness Initiative (YCRI). YCRI is a program designated to provide career readiness training combined with community restoration and family strengthening.
Fast Facts
“HEROES in the HOOD” is a two part 24 week program. It is open to young men ages 13 – 17 years old.
Breakfast and afternoon refreshments will be provided. (Modified due to COVID-19)
Participants can receive a stipend up to $200 per month, contingent on being on time and demonstrating satisfactory participation.
The program will consist of healing circles and career readiness skills and provide a meaningful opportunity for young men to engage in community restoration and skills for entering the workforce.
Participants will be expected to adhere to all program rules and standards upon entrance into the program.
Participants and parents are required to attend a scheduled orientation.
